Vote for a movie goddammit :)

Come on people. Weigh in. We're only at 19. Can't just be John and Bobby and Scott and Bitter and a few others. I know you're out there. Silent. Stalkers. Leave a comment. It wont hurt. Im sure there is some movie that sends chills up your spine, or second someone else's vote.

Now, go.

I'd add 'Hellraiser' to the list, it really unsettled me when I was young. I've always been a fan of Phil Kaufmans 'Invasion of The Body-snatchers' a well made excercise in paranoia.

Also - David Cronenberg's 'The Fly' body horror at its finest.

How about Dog soldiers. A low budget werewolve brit-flick.

Frankenstein (1931), still the best 'build a body' movie out there.

I agree, the window scene in Salem's lot. This scene should make the list, it's the only film ever to scare me. Of which Bobby Lee found to be very funny.

I know I'm gonna hate myself in the morning for suggesting this - but the first (and only the first) Friday the 13th was pretty darned scary - particularly for three things: 1) that damned music (ch ch ch ch a a a a) that creeps me out everytime I hear it, 2) Ms. Voorhees darned teeth (kill her Mommy, kill her!) and 3) poor drowned Jason erupting from the water in daylight to "kill" the last remaining survivor.

Horror's not my genre but when a friend made me watch THE OMEN way back when, I couldn't get it out of my head for years.

GHOST STORY, another oldie, was very good, if memory serves.

And, of course, THE SHINING. Classic.

I've got a few more I think are good.

Pet Sematary (i like cats )
Misery ( this one made me walk with a limp )
Deliverance (not sure if this one is horror).

I'll second Hellraiser.

Carrie scared the crapola outta me when I saw it the first time. I say 'the first time' as if I'd ever watch it again. I can't -- I'm afraid to.
